I'm Baaack!

Been slacking off and not updating blog been kinda a crazy week :)

May 28-30 a crew from our "box" headed to Okotoks to compete in the Canadian regionals. Nolan who qualified being in the to 15 from regionals and myself who competed in the inaugural Masters Competition.

Nolan, an amazing athlete, never faltered, attacked his WOD's with fierce athleticism. He finished middle of the pack. He came home and maybe took one day off and is back in the gym hitting it hard. He has a new plan, new energy and I know we will be watching him compete next year on his journey to the GAMES!

I competed in three WOD's that were standardized - over a 150 men and women from around the world did the exact same workouts. After a disappointing start, found a way and finished stronger. Originally it was announced that I had finished 12th and had earned the right to compete in the games but after the dust had settled my final placing is 18th in the world just missing qualifying by 6 points. Look out Worlds... next year I will be there and you won't know what hit you!!! It was an amazing weekend. Met lots of people and had a lot of fun....

I guess I had to go to that place to get to this one"
